GLENN SAIGER - INFINITE COMPANIONS Vinyl LP

Regular price $19.99
The first ever reissue of this more recently discovered 1972 private press psych-folk album from Ohio predates the legendary Stone Harbour, which initially helped put Ohio on the radar on rare psych collector. Not as blown out as that, and not as affected as say Red Hash or a  Bobb Trimble record, there are some light experimental touches to this this lost singer songwriter gem that to my mind recall records by Rex Holman or Pete Fine. There are said to have been 250 copies pressed, and thanks to the heads at Third Eye Records in Long Beach we get to hear this for the first time. This is an easy sell to any of your customers into the Shaddocks or Guerssen labels. Analog mastered by Don Hunerberg (Sonic Youth/Liquid Liquid/Blondie/ESG/John Zorn) with revised artwork. Don actually recorded this in Ohio when he was at art school, 23 years old and just a few years later he would be working for Craig Leon, engineering the first Ramones record. This one-time pressing of 500 copies includes an unreleased song and insert with lyrics. Note to conspiracy theorists, one of the songs on this album is called Dark Side of the Moon, and Saiger sent Pink Floyd's management a 'promo' copy seven months before Dark Side of the Moon was released. - John Allen
