Director Kane Parsons joins Edo Van Breemen (‘The Monkey’) for the original score to Backrooms. Built from unsettling electronics and strange atmospheric detail, the soundtrack drops you straight into the film’s liminal nightmare. Rather than taking the usual horror-score route, Parsons and Van Breemen create something closer to an experimental electronic album, with echoes of Autechre, Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin running through its disorientating sound.
